StatSheet's MAC Player of the Week for December 31st goes to Toledo's Rian Pearson. Western Michigan's Darius Paul has won StatSheet's MAC Freshman of the Week. And last but not least, Toledo's Reese Holliday takes home StatSheet's MAC 6th Man of the Week.
Pearson was tops in the MAC in free throws (8.0 per game). He also tallied great stats in shooting (50%), assists (5 per game), and scoring (24 pts per game). The Toledo junior played well in a win against UIC.
This is the first StatSheet MAC Player of the Week honor for Rian Pearson. The runner-up this week is Shayne Whittington, a junior from Western Michigan. Honorable mention goes to Western Michigan senior Nate Hutcheson. The highest ranking player from Bowling Green was A`uston Calhoun who finished 16th.
StatSheet MAC Freshman of the Week: Western Michigan's Darius Paul
Darius Paul put in 34 minutes as a starter for Western Michigan. In an 84-68 loss to NC State, Paul chalked up 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Darius Paul has won the StatSheet MAC Freshman of the Week an astounding 3 times. Nathan Boothe from Toledo gets runner-up. Derrick Richardson Jr. from Central Michigan receives honorable mention.
StatSheet MAC 6th Man of the Week: Toledo's Reese Holliday
Reese Holliday, a 6-4 Junior guard, played 20 minutes during the lone game for the Rockets. In the win over UIC, Holliday added 16 points on 55% shooting.
This is the first StatSheet MAC 6th Man of the Week win for Reese Holliday. Our own Richaun Holmes is the runner up. Our own Anthony Henderson receives honorable mention. Bowling Green has yet to win the StatSheet MAC Player of the Week award this season.
