Richaun Holmes Wins the StatSheet MAC Sixth Man of the Week - February 11th, 2013

Chris Evans from Kent State has been selected for StatSheet's MAC Player of the Week for February 11th. StatSheet's MAC Freshman of the Week goes to Marcus Posley from Ball State. And last but not least, Richaun Holmes takes home StatSheet's MAC 6th Man of the Week. Evans put up huge numbers in shooting (50%), scoring (19 pts per game), and rebounding (8.5 per game). The Kent State senior played well in a win against Central Michigan and a loss to Western Michigan.

Evans led scoring and rebounding for the Golden Flashes with 19 points and 9 rebounds in an 82-76 loss to Western Michigan. He then led all scoring and rebounding with a 19 point and 8 rebound performance in an 87-72 victory against Central Michigan.

This is the second time this season that Chris Evans has been named StatSheet MAC Player of the Week. The runner-up this week is our own A`uston Calhoun. Honorable mention goes to Kent State junior Darren Goodson.

StatSheet MAC Freshman of the Week: Ball State's Marcus Posley

Marcus Posley averaged 26 minutes of playing time while starting both games for Ball State. In a 69-42 loss to Ohio, Posley contributed 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Following that in close 65-62 win against Western Michigan, he added 15 points and 3 steals.

This is a new honor for Marcus Posley, the first time he has won StatSheet MAC Freshman of the Week. Darius Paul from Western Michigan gets runner-up. Jake Kretzer from Akron receives honorable mention.

StatSheet MAC 6th Man of the Week: Bowling Green's Richaun Holmes

Richaun Holmes, a 6-8 Sophomore forward, averaged 19 minutes over two games for the Falcons. In a 57-41 win over Northern Illinois, Holmes put up 11 points and 3 blocked shots. Then in a 72-63 loss to Ohio, he racked up 8 points and 2 rebounds.

This is the first StatSheet MAC 6th Man of the Week win for Richaun Holmes. Austin Harper, a junior guard from Eastern Michigan, is runner up. Keith Gray, a sophomore forward from Northern Illinois, receives honorable mention. Bowling Green has yet to win StatSheet MAC Player of the Week.
